Spring is here and normally that means the Covetrus™ team would launch the latest spring release for RoboVet™, providing you with lots of new features and improvements to existing functionality.

Given this unprecedented time, urgent attention is required to support our client’s more immediate operational needs. As such our team has made the decision not to release the Feature Packs that we have been working on as part of a spring release. We have taken this decision with the best intentions for our clients given the current challenges and the time and resources required from both our clients and our own teams to perform the upgrade and upskill on new features.

A note from our RoboVet Product Manager, Daisy McNally

“I’d like to take this opportunity to reassure all of our RoboVet clients that this is not reflective of a pause on development work. We are continuing to create new features and build upon RoboVet as we always do.”

New features you can look forward to within the next RoboVet release include;

  • Drug docket renaming
  • Withhold information added to Drug docket
  • Ability to add URL to drug safety datasheets on client facing documents
  • Stop the flashing tool bar in RoboVet
  • Bug fixes
  • Fixed LabLink integration
  • Label enhancements
  • Visit enhancements

As well as the work we’ve already developed above we are also working towards removing the dependency of Microsoft Word and Excel in RoboVet and support the free alternative software Libre Writer and Calc to provide more flexibility. Our development teams are also working on giving RoboVet a new look and feel as well as turning our attention to reporting enhancements.

In the short term, to help aid our clients as much as possible, we are currently working on developing and releasing virtual visit capabilities within RoboVet which will allow vets to carry out remote consults for animals in need. Our aim is to release this without the need for a RoboVet upgrade so that we can deliver it as quickly as possible with minimum impact to our practices. We realise how important this feature is and are working to provide it to our clients as soon as possible.

We will continue to review the current situation and as soon as possible, we will commence our RoboVet upgrades for new features and enhancements to support and streamline your daily workflows. We will also continue to keep our communication flowing and update you on the availability of the RoboVet spring release in due course.
