Virtual visits version 2 is now available for RoboVet™

We are delighted to announce that RoboVet virtual visits version 2 is now here and is packed with fantastic new features. 

Version 1 brought our users the ability to begin a virtual visit from within RoboVet without the need for additional or external set up. For version 2, we’ve built on existing functionality to ensure there is little to no additional manual effort required.

This development means that every step in a virtual visit creation is handled automatically as part of the normal user journey when creating, editing and removing virtual visit appointments.  

Our primary aim for this release was to further embed the telemedicine consultation workflow into RoboVet, reducing any additional manual input for your team. By providing a smoother, more automated experience, we are increasing the value of the virtual visit feature for RoboVet users and pet owners alike. 

Version 2 highlights include:

  • Client reminders are automatically sent at 7am on the day of the appointment and 15 mins before the virtual visit is due to start.
  • Email confirmations are automatically sent to the team member hosting the virtual visit.
  • The removal of a virtual visit appointment automatically cancels the Zoom meeting.
  • Moving or amending a virtual visit appointment will automatically update the details within the consult notes and resends these details to the team member and client.
  • When an animal is marked as deceased, all future virtual visit appointments and reminders are cancelled automatically.
  • A more manageable, shortened “Tiny URL” link is automatically generated to join the virtual visit within the consult details and invite to team member and client.

These new features have increased automation and overall usability, helping to further streamline virtual visits into existing workflows.

New benefits to veterinary teams

  • Virtual visits seamlessly fits into the workflows used for appointment creation and amendment, which means virtual visits appointments can be managed entirely within RoboVet.
  • Vets/nurses can now easily access virtual visits from any device as the Zoom details are now emailed directly to the relevant team member, removing the need to copy and paste the virtual visit URL from RoboVet.
  • Conveniently timed automatic reminders can also help to reduce no shows by providing clients the opportunity to cancel their virtual visit on the morning of the appointment should it no longer be required or appropriate.

New benefits to clients

  • Clients can now easily access the virtual visit with conveniently timed reminders. This means that clients don’t have to search through their emails or SMS to find the virtual visit appointment details.

As restrictions begin to ease and we look to understand what new technology and ways of working will remain beyond lockdown, it is clear that telemedicine solutions will have an important part to play.
